For adults aged 18 and over

Bannister Brewing Co.’s beer content is for adults. Do not buy alcohol for someone who is under 18. Our playful staircase character is a piece of brand artwork, not advice about how to drink or behave.

Enjoy beer at your own pace. You should never feel pressured to finish a drink, order another or choose the strongest option.

Know the strength and serving size

ABV means alcohol by volume. A beer’s units depend on both its strength and the amount served. UK units can be calculated as volume in millilitres multiplied by ABV as a percentage, divided by 1,000.

For example, a 500 ml beer at 4% ABV contains 2 UK units. This is a calculation example, not the confirmed strength or bottle size of a Bannister beer. Check the actual label and serving size.

Lower-risk guidance

UK guidance advises adults who drink regularly not to exceed 14 units a week, spreading drinking over three or more days rather than saving it for one occasion. Having several alcohol-free days can help you reduce consumption. These are lower-risk guidelines, not a guarantee that drinking is safe.

Do not rely on a unit calculation or an estimated time to decide whether you can drive. If you need advice about alcohol and your health, speak to a qualified healthcare professional.
